Travel to Guwahati. Continue on to Kaziranga, an old city situated beside the Brahmaputra River. Located on the Brahmaputra River, Kaziranga National Park is the oldest park in Assam and is well-known for its magnificent Indian one-horned rhinoceros.
Enjoy an Elephant Safari in the morning (subject to operation). The National Orchid and Biodiversity Park in Kaziranga is a must-see for anyone who like orchids and the outdoors. Savor the unique Jeep safari in the afternoon.
Travel on to Shillong. Shillong literally translates to "Abode of Clouds." Renowned for its tranquil culture, stunning scenery, largest waterfall, and wonderful people. Enjoy a boat ride through Umiam Lake, one of Meghalaya''s largest artificial lakes, while traveling. Arrive in the evening in Shillong.
Travel on to Cherrapunji. Take pictures at Elephant Falls en route. Cherrapunji, also known as Sohra, is said to be the wettest region on the planet. See the tallest plunge waterfall in India, Nohkalikai Falls, the seven-segmented Seven Sisters Falls, and Ram Krishna Mission, which is based on the teachings and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda and Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa. Arrive in the evening in Shillong.
Travel on to Mawlynnong hamlet, Asia''s cleanest hamlet, where you may take in the breathtaking scenery, charming little villagers'' homes, and the Living Root Bridge, a suspension bridge made from living plant roots shaped by trees. We went to Dawki village late at night to have a boat trip on the Umngot River, one of India''s cleanest rivers; the water is so clear that the boats seem to float over it. View the boundary between India and Bangladesh near Tamabil. Get to Shilong late at night.
View the Shillong Peak. Later, go to the Don Bosco Museum, one of India''s most advanced museums. Continue on to Guwahati, the capital of Assam, which is one of the world''s fastest-growing cities and boasts an abundance of natural beauty. Enjoy dinner, a local dance, and a boat ride in the Brahmaputra River in the evening to see the stunning sunset of the "Luit-Color of Blood."
View the renowned Kamakhya Temple, the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas and the oldest temple in Assam. Get on the plane to your hometown. The tour is over.
